[Video] No Cutting Easy Gift Box

Good Afternoon,

Miracles do happen.  Posting 2 days in a row  LOL!  Hey, I found this fantastic project from a Stampin Up Demonstrator on YouTube.  She did a video on this cute gift box almost 3 years ago. Her YouTube channel is Stamping T.  So, I decided to also do a video to bring it back again.

It is really easy once you make a couple.  In my video below, it was my third attempt.  My second was a flop because I taped in the wrong places.  In the picture above, I used a retired paper pack called Taste of Summer.  It was out for only a month last May.  Close To My Heart had it and a matching stamp set for the month of May 2015 only.  I had bought a couple packs and the stamps.

You will need a 12 x 12 piece of designer paper and a 10 inch long piece for the belly band.  The width can be whatever your heart desires.  I cut mine for both boxes I made at 1 1/2" wide.  You will also need scor-tape and whatever embellishments you want to decorate your box with.

Here are the scoring instructions.  I did put them on the screen in the video but sometimes it is helpful to have them in print as well.

Start off with placing your paper with the outside of the box facing down on your score board.
On one side score at 1 1/2" , 3" and 3 3/4".  Turn paper 180 degrees and repeat
Turn paper 90 degrees and score at 3" and 4 1/2", Turn again 180 degrees and repeat.

I am entering this into the Heart2Heart Retired Challenge.

Here are some of the products I used:

Christmas Card Created on My Explore Used Print Then Cut

Good morning...

Here is a quick post before I have to head off to work. uggggg  wish I could stay home and play in my craft room.

I cut this card out on my Cricut Explore and I took advantage of the print then cut feature.  I have to admit that I got this idea from a YouTube video I saw and had to make one myself.

I was pretty happy with the way that it turned out.

Valentine's Day Window Cling Project

One more post for tonight.  I created these window clings using my Cricut Explore......  I love my Explore.  It cut like a charm.  Now, I just need more colors of window clings..hehehe.

Can't tell you what cartridges I used because I just did a search in the image library for hearts and for Happy Valentine's Day phrase.  I searched all images.  One heart I had to purchase for 99 cents but I don't mind.  I liked the heart and now I own it.

It is nothing big, but I was playing with my Explore.  I have only used it to cut paper and card stock.  I was a bit afraid to try anything else.  But I finally took the plunge.  I have a bunch of vinyl that I need to start using that are unopened.  I also bought printable vinyl.  It is still unopened too. But the window cling is a start.

This is being entered into the current Valentines Day Project challenge over on Fantabulous Cricut.

Valentines Day Card For Challenges

It has been a long time since I entered any challenges.  But I am entering this card ( which is featured in the video in my previous post)  in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

How I made this card can be found in my previous post.  I recorded me putting the card together.  So for those of you who have seen my card already, sorry for the re-post.

This was created using my Cricut Explore and Design Space.  Melody Lane designed the card and shared it with her patreons.  I just changed it up a little by using an image from Teddy Bear Parade and I flattened it in DS and print then cut.  She did the same thing but had Abbie from Sesame Street.  I don't have that cartridge and is not part of the Cricut subscription because it is a licensed cartridge.  So, I replaced it with an image that was part of my subscription.  I also added an extra heart.

Winter Wonderland Christmas Card

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone.  Hope everyone had a happy and save new year.  I am showcasing a card I made.  I just finished it up this morning.  In fact, I have to apologize for the pic.  I was running late and had to take the pic with my phone because I didn't have time to take it with my camera and email it to myself ...  almost didn't make it to work on time.  I logged in at work with 2 minutes to spare.. whewww.

I am entering this into a few challenges...

I cut the iceskates from an SVG file that I made ( I will upload that probably tomorrow).  The skates are similar to the ones on the Winterwoodland Cricut Cart.  I used brand new Martha Stewart Glitter Glue I just received (covers the use something new for one of the challenges). I used the glitter glue for the bows on the skates and the blades. It was a pack of like 24 colors.. love love love it.  It doesn't clog like my stickles does.

For another challenge I used a few things from my stash.  The background paper is old paper scrap from a DCWV paper stack that is about 2 yrs old.  The square mat and the scallop circle was cut from scraps also.

Entering this card in the following challenges:  (will be updating this as I enter the challenges.)

Gingerloft 30 - Christmas and Winter
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Ribbon and Sparkle
If The Shoe Fits Scrap It - Use Your Stash
Pile It On 2012 - Anything Goes
Lets Craft and Create - Anything Goes
Secret Crafter Saturday - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant - Anything Goes

I am going to have to take a break from the monthly challenges.  I am extremely busy right now.  I got myself involved in too many swaps.  In addition to my day job now, I am running all evening after work doing the realtor thingy.  I have not had time (bad me) to pay too much attention.  I will have the winner of last month sometime this week.  I know that is way over due.

I do thank you for your patients and will check in.  things are just crazy right now.  If possible I will start up next year on my monthly challenges.

Winner of July 2011 Challenge and Ramblings

Good evening ladies...  First of all I want to announce the winner of the camera mini album, chosen by random number...  drum roll please..........

Congrats to Sugarlips..  the random number was 5..   Please contact me with your shipping info.
Thanks to everyone who played along.  All of your projects were great.  Tomorrow I hope to get all of the design teams projects up for August's challenge...  I will say that Glitterbabe Digi's will be sponsoring another challenge here on Paper This and That.  Another hint is back to school.  The rest of the details you will find out tomorrow.

I found this great new place to hang out...  it is a mini album scrapbooking group called Mini Album Scraps. Tons of swaps going on..  they take extensive measures to prevent flakers ( swappers who do not full fill their end of a swap).  It is safe and lots of fun.  You can almost always find some gals chatting in the chat window.  I will be posting some of my swap projects as I complete them.  If you say pretty please with a cherry on top I may give you a sneak peak at my Twilight New Moon Tags for a swap on Mini Album Scraps.  :)

Until Tomorrow...  have projects to work on, not to mention having to get some sleep sometime tonight.  Had an exhausting day at work today..  I am tired..  don't even know how much work on my tags I will get done.

Winner of June Challenge and Some Updates

Hello everyone.  It has been a busy time for me.  Just to play catch up, I just found out that my son who is the Marine, he is going to Afganistan next month.  I have been trying to plan on traveling down from PA to Fort Lee, VA to see him and take him to Bush Gardens.  He can leave the base on week ends but has to stay with in a 100 mile radius of the base.

In addition, things at my work are not real stable.  Next Spring not sure if the company will still be open or not.  I am going to my back up plan.  I use to be a licensed realtor back in the 90's.  I let my license go into ecrow back in 1998.  I have been out of the business for 13 years and have decided to get back into it.  The real estate market is going to make a come back and I am going to have my foot in the door when it happens.  But because it has been more than 5 years since I renewed my license, I have to retake my state board exams.  I am doing that on Wednesday.  So after Wednesday, I will post the July Challenge.

Ok, enough chit chat and my winner is Carla from Carla Cards, number 2 by random.org.  Congrats Carla on winning the mini album kit.  Please contact me with your address so that I can get it mailed out to you.

Here is the scoop..  I am very late in posting and I apologize about this.  I was on vacation at the beginning of the month.  My son graduated from the Marine Corp Basic Training at Parris Island, SC Friday May 6.  I had a lot of work to get caught up on this week plus make my son a mini album to take with him to his combat training.  He leaves Monday.  I have been trying to spend some time with him because it could be a year before a see him again.

The above picture is me, my son Aaron and my bf Brian.

Anyhow..  here is the challenge for April...   lets honor of military and vets...  create a card or LO involving Memorial Day or some kind of military theme..  The winner will be chosen by random.org.

I will be giving away a pack of my custom designed digital paper packs that you can use in digital scrapbooking or even print on your printer to use in your paper crafting projects.  The papers are high res images that are 8.5 x 11.  This is my swiss dot collection.
